KN Modi Foundation computers were hacked and the data of students and staff was deleted, according to police.

A group of hackers allegedly stole and deleted data of educational institutes of KN Modi Foundation in Uttar Pradesh, Ghaziabad , demanded cryptocurrency worth USD 1 million to resolve the issue.

According to Iraj Raja, SP (Rural Ghaziabad) Sandeep Kumar Yadav filed a complaint on behalf of the foundation.

SP (Rural Ghaziabad) Police have received a complaint on behalf of the foundation from Sandeep Kumar Yadav, Iraj Raja said. According to his complaint, hackers have stolen and deleted all student and staff data from the institute’s computers. He claimed that the hackers stole all student and staff data from the institute and erased it.

An FIR has been registered against two unknown persons under Section 507 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act (IT Act).
